Radha Friedman
Radha Friedman is an award-winning social impact strategist with two decades of experience in gender equality and global philanthropy. She is on a mission to encourage investing in women and girls of color, and that vision has led her around the world, overseeing nearly 100 grants across 60 countries.
Radha was a consultant to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation on their gender equality strategy, as well as an advisor to the Clinton Global Initiative’s Network on Women & Girls Economic Empowerment. She has worked with several Nobel Prize laureates, including Shirin Ebadi, Mary Robinson, and the Dalai Lama.
Radha has been a co-founder of several women-led start-ups. Among them, she is co-founder of the Landesa Center for Women’s Land Rights, a founding board member of She Matters Foundation (a social enterprise supporting women refugees) and ImpactData360.org (a new hub for gender data). She is also on the Civic Council of the University of Washington’s MAAIS (Master of Arts in Applied International Studies) program.
Radha’s work is grounded by an M.A. in International Development Studies, M.S. in Public Service Administration, B.A. in South Asian Studies, and a post-graduate certificate in Cross-Sector Partnerships from the University of Cambridge. Among other credentials, she has been named a fellow by the United Nations Alliance of Civilizations, Independent Sector, American Express Foundation, Henry M. Jackson Foundation, and Global Women’s Leadership Network.
