Karl Chen

Karl is an accomplished, award winning design director and educator who strongly advocates for the idea that good design can help drive business success and address real-world social and environmental challenges.

During his tenure as design director and associate creative director at Chicago based Mosaic advertising agency, Karl skillfully guided his team to deliver exceptional multidisciplinary design solutions for major global brands across various industries. With over 15 years of agency experience, Karl applies his expertise to assist a diverse range of clients in achieving their design objectives.

In addition, Karl is a part-time design professor at Seneca Polytechnic, a renowned Canadian multi-campus college. He has previously been invited as a guest speaker at the U of W Stratford School of Interaction Design & Business and has also served as a judge for the Association of Registered Graphic Designers of Ontario.

Karl holds a Specialized Design Degree from York University and Sheridan College, and is currently living in Toronto, Canada with his wife and young son.
