Halle Catalina Brown

Halle is a sustainability professional specializing in ESG governance and strategy development. Her expertise allows her to identify and develop ESG strategies that positively influence companies' impact on their stakeholders. She is also skilled in researching and assisting with evaluating carbon offsets and corporate ESG regulations.

Halle’s passion for community-driven conservation was sparked during her undergraduate studies in Ecuador, where she studied the language, biodiversity, and complex environmental issues. In addition to her work with Uplift, Halle is currently a U.S. Fulbright Student in the Ecuadorian Andes, studying the role of ecotourism on women's empowerment and conservation. She returned to the country to support her beloved host mom's nonprofit, Quinde Warmi, which empowers rural women to run their own ecotourism organization and gain financial independence. In the fall, she’ll return to the U.S. with unique insight on sustainability and female empowerment.

Halle holds a B.A. in Environmental Science and Public Policy from the University of Denver (DU) and a Masters of Public Policy. While at DU she supported the chair of the university-wide task force in developing a roadmap to carbon neutrality by 2030. Her background in science and policy provides a robust and pragmatic approach to her work while maintaining her passion for preserving the earth equitably for all people.
