Melissa Glaser

Melissa is a freelance writer and editor who has been working with Uplift since January 2023. In this supportive role, she is motivated primarily by Uplift's vision to support companies in their efforts to integrate protection of profits, people, and planet. She believes that through growth and accountability, organizations have the potential to lead efforts for environmental sustainability, transform the way we operate as a society, and model positive governing policies and practices.

Melissa holds a master's degree in English from Kansas State University, where she has also taught a variety of writing and literature courses, including professional business writing and composition. She also works for the university's Office of Recruitment and Admissions where she is creating professional development, onboarding, and training plans for a department of over 50 staff members; she also directly oversees the customer service team.

As a Kansas native and resident, Melissa's favorite pastimes include hiking the Konza Prairie and watching the sun rise and set on the open midwest skyline. She also enjoys spending time with her son and daughter, reflecting on life and love with friends, admiring her favorite trees throughout the changing seasons, and appreciating the complementary personalities of her two adopted rescue cats.
