Kate Hollcraft
Kate Hollcraft is a storyteller, collaborator and communications strategist with more than twenty years of experience. Passionate, proactive and thoughtful, she is known for combining creative thinking and dynamic, surround-sound execution with straight-forward, no fluff messaging that touches stakeholders in a meaningful way.
Kate began her career in politics and government. As a Governor’s Fellow for the State of Indiana, she worked in both the Governor’s Press Office and served as Special Assistant for Speech and Communications for five years.
Moving to the private sector, Kate helped rebrand a technology organization, and publicized authors and titles for a major book publisher. At public relations agency Borshoff, she led innovative work for diverse clients including food, sports, entertainment, energy, education, health care and disability advocacy.
Her extensive background includes executive positioning, employee engagement, thought leadership, reputation management and issues management. In a decade with Allstate Insurance, Kate served as the primary spokesperson for their response to Hurricane Katrina and the insurer’s corporate social responsibility efforts. While there, she developed the company’s first integrated approach to media relations, building a team that produced several national award-winning public relations campaigns. Most recently, Kate modernized the earned media function for Grant Thornton, increasing the firm’s positive earned media while simultaneously harmonizing communications strategies across the firm’s offices.
Kate has a B.A. in History and Political Science from Purdue University. Her loves include her husband, two spirited children, one energetic dog, reading, cooking and travel.
